I took this shot in Shira and Jerry's backyard, just to see how the iPhone 4 camera would perform in very low light. Nothing special, but the result reminded me of some classic paintings by Rembrandt and Caravaggio. They used an effect called "chiarascuro", where subjects were dramatically lit against a dark background (take an art history course, and you too, can throw out fancy words like that). Compare, for example, Rembrandt's famous work Aristotle Contemplating a Bust of Homer with Jerry's pose as he contemplates his toasting marshmallow.
