On July 19, 2009, Cindy and I drove to Mt. Rainier National Park for a day hike. We set out on a section of the Wonderland Trail that circles the mountain. Our destination was Summerland, an area of subalpine meadows on the east side of the mountain, below the Frying Pan Glacier.
