One of our eagles is bringing dinner back to the nest. It's a young duck. Not obvious, because it's been plucked. It's normal for eagles to pull off the feathers on a captured bird. Sometimes they do the plucking on the ground, sometimes in their nest. Sometimes, even while the prey is still alive - there's a YouTube video of that. Grim stuff, but this is the law of the food chain.
