The Reichstag was restored after WW2 and now serves as the home of the German parliament (Bundestag). Inside the new glass dome is a spiral walkway, from which visitors can view the city or the proceedings in the chambers below. The dome also contains an array of mirrors to reflect sunlight into the interior space. The Reichstag is one of many sites in Berlin where you see striking juxtopositions of historic and modern elements.
