Cafe scene, with hurdy gurdy player. This is on Unter den Linden, the historic boulevard which extends eastward from the Brandenburg Gate. Before the war this was one of the most glamorous promenades in Europe, comparable to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. It fell into stagnation during the communist regime, but it is once again a popular destination for locals and tourists.
