Eagles have been part of The Village at Riverbend community for many years. We watched them fishing in the river and perching on the branches outside their nest. We watched young eaglets exercising their wings and preparing for their first flights. And they watched us. But the tree supporting their nest was dying, and in danger of falling. So, after applying for the necessary permits, VRB hired a company to remove the tree. The take down was scheduled after the eagles departed in their seasonal migration.
