On the day that we visited Fort Point, we were able to watch one of the races of the 2013 Americas Cup, which was being held in the bay. This final round of this event was a two boat match race between high tech catamarans. The US yacht is at center, the New Zealand entry is on the right. In the distance, at left, is Alcatraz.
